I AM

Brooklyn A

I am .. proud to be whom I am,

I wonder .. if I will still be with my same Teacher

(Miss Siale)until my final year in Glen Taylor.

I see .. me achieving the prize I’ve always wanted,

I want .. to act more like a leader to Glen Taylor.

I hear .. my brothers voice saying goodbye,

I am .. proud to be whom I am

I pretend .. that I am good at sports,

I feel .. lots of emotion when I’m with my family and friends.

I touch .. my friends with happiness and love,

I worry .. if I will still stand on earth tomorrow.

I cry .. when I think about my brother and hearing horrible words about me and the people I love,

I am .. proud to be whom I am.

I understand .. that friends will end and that our

teacher always put us before family,

I say .. things that are true and false.

I dream .. to be with my brother again,

I try .. my best to train until my final game.

I hope .. to be the best of what I can be

Room 12 Star Signs

Today in Maths my teacher (Miss Siale) has given not just our maths group,but our whole class a task. This term we have been learning statistics since today. It was good because the whole class were here. In Maths she gave us these symbols. Each symbols stand for our Birthday. Each student had to search around through classmates through classmates to find out their birthday and symbol. This lesson teaches us how to talk and to know more about the people that's around us till the end of the year. After that we gathered together as one just in case if we missed anyone. Once we calculate our total, Miss Siale kindly ask us to make a statistics poster. Bar graphs, Pie graphs, Tally charts, and more. I decided to do a tally and bar graph in one. It didn't take me long to do, but it was also fun at the same time. During this progress I had learn and made new friends while doing this Maths Activity.

I'm A Proud Tongan Girl

Malo e lelei, my name is Brooklyn and I am 11 years of age. I’m a proud Tongan girl and have 7 people in my Family including me. I go to Glen Taylor School and I am House Captain of Taurere (Green), Sports Captain and a Peer Mediator of Glen Taylor School.

In my spare time I love to play sport, listen to music, learning and chatting with my friends. When we play Netball or Basketball I am not good at shooting but I am good at defending. The challenges I had faced was versing the hardest netball team but won and starting to find new friends. My goals for this year is to achieve all my goals and join sports and club that I haven’t before.

What I'm looking forward is to become friends with the year 8 before they leave and to try to get prizes from "Prize Giving". My achievements are joining sports I haven’t tried before and becoming friends with people I never thought to becoming friends with. The one who inspires me are my family. They inspire me to play sport and to LOVE maths.
